Join Linda Sprague this Saturday for a one hour zoom workshop on SoulCPR for The Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology, based in San Diego California. In this short workshop we will work as a group to experience the fundamentals of SoulCPR. We will be working with a shared trauma (that I will announce at the time) so we can practice some of the methods. When the workshop is over, you will have an updated toolbox for healing trauma and for maintaining emotional wellness through authentic communication with yourself and others.

What is Soul CPR?
SoulCPR is a life changing process that helps people heal the past and live in the present. It unravels emotional blocks, resolves the lingering effects of trauma, and restores a person to wholeness. The fundamental purpose of SoulCPR is to heal the past and live in the present. We start from the premise that all feelings fully felt return to peace.
Emotional Wellness
We are living in a time of rapid evolution and re-learning. We are challenged to create a foundation for a new way of life in our World. Transforming inner chaos into harmony can impact outer behavior. Transformation is linked with increased consciousness, healthiness and an ability to really live in the present. SoulCPR is a part of the larger healing and evolution of our human experience. Join me so you can help yourself and others participate more fully as we join together and create new paradigms and new journeys. SoulCPR is a Safe, Simple, Structured Process for Healing Traumatic Life Events. It is also a solid toolbox for ongoing emotional wellness.

“In the late 1980’s I became certified in a trauma resolution method. I mention the time line because there was not a lot going on in the field of trauma healing at that time. The survivors of the Vietnam War helped expose the reality of trauma and the need to deal honestly with the effects of trauma. The basic definition for trauma at that time was: Trauma happens out of the blue, and without my permission. It throws me into shock and it changes my life forever.
The method I learned insured emotional safety for clients, and the process had simple guidelines that eliminated the tendency to keep going over the same territory. Since that time the study of trauma has expanded. What we will cover today are basic fundamentals for understanding and treating trauma. The method was designed for group healing but I have used it for individuals as well. Some of the goals for this healing process are: resolving the lingering effects of trauma (e. g. disassociation, low energy, depression), and restoring the shattered soul that resides in the past. The outcome is to live fully and mindfully in the present.
SoulCPR is the product of 30 plus years of working with individuals and groups using the methods I learned. I will share the four basic steps of the SoulCPR method. For example, Step One documents the facts, feelings and body memories of the trauma in chronological order. Another step explores how one’s values and beliefs were violated by the difficult event. The method goes on to examine the strategies (thoughts and behaviors) that were used for surviving the trauma. In step four the losses incurred are listed and grieved. Finally, there are gains to be appreciated: renewed energy, confidence and emotional wellbeing. A trauma recovery process should help put the difficult life experience in the past so the individual can live fully in the present. Realistically, we know that any trauma can be triggered over and over. However, a person should be able to open the book (the experience), honor the experience, grieve it briefly, and then close the book and come back to the present.
In order for the SoulCPR method to be effective, special communication techniques are suggested for the process. I will talk about these techniques since they stress the importance of authentic listening and communicating; and these techniques are the reason SoulCPR is safe and special.”
